- Spends more than 50% of workday/week away from the office prospecting new sales leads by identifying, developing, and maintaining professional relationships with key clients.
- Identifies and seeks out potential business in local market. Maintains relationships with local companies and key people to increase the hotel’s visibility within the local market.
- Focuses prime selling time (10a – 3p) on direct sales efforts only.
- Creates and manages sales solicitations and presentations specific to property/brand.
- Negotiates all aspects of the sales contract to leverage profitability while also achieving client’s expectations.
- Maintains positive STAR report numbers in areas of occupancy, average daily rate, and Revpar.
- Assists in the development of property budgets and forecasts, operating within them.
- Develops and maintains market awareness to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive sales strategies.
- Achieves budgeted revenue goals consistently by utilizing the training, tools, and procedures provided.
- Consistently calls on potential customers; making in-person visits a minimum of three (2 to 3) days per week and following the company-established procedures.
- Requires a minimum of 3 year(s) of hospitality sales and or management experience
- Ability to organize multiple projects; manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Must have experience at properties of similar size and quality.
- Director of Sales bonus potential up to 25%
