We are currently seeking a Corporate Director of Human Resources to lead the HR function for the company. Position is office based at our Corporate Office located in Scripps Ranch.

The Corporate Director of HR will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resources (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organizations mission and talent strategy.

We are a fast-growing; privately held hotel management company based in San Diego, CA with 24 select-service properties in California and one in Colorado. We offer a wide variety of quality select-service hotels under various brands including Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Best Western, Wyndham branded hotels.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Supervises human resources staff, including overseeing the daily workflow of the department

Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention
Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and location employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance

Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy

Coordinates professional development, training and certification activities as needed
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations

Perform all other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required

Must have at least five years of human resources management

Strong supervisory, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
